Privacy policy
Your puzzles stay close.
Effective July 17, 2026What Wordflow does
Wordflow generates puzzles in your browser. The words, clues, quotes, titles, seeds, and generated puzzle data you enter are not sent to a Wordflow database because Wordflow does not operate one.
Browser storage
When you save a puzzle, Wordflow stores it in local storage in the browser on that device. This data remains on the device unless you export a library backup, import one, clear browser data, or remove the saved puzzle. You can clear Wordflow data through your browser's site-data controls or by deleting individual library entries.
Analytics
Wordflow may use Vercel Web Analytics to understand page traffic and broad product usage. Product-event tracking is designed not to include puzzle words, puzzle titles, clues, quotes, email addresses, generated grids, or other free-form puzzle content. Wordflow does not use advertising analytics or sell personal data.
Feedback
If you send feedback through the form, Wordflow receives the message, feedback type, current page, and any optional reply email you provide. If the form service is unavailable, Wordflow shows an error and does not open an email application.
Hosting and technical data
Wordflow is hosted on Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel may process technical information such as IP addresses, request times, browser information, and diagnostic logs to deliver and protect the service. Wordflow itself does not set advertising cookies. External infrastructure may change its practices, so this policy should be reviewed whenever analytics, forms, monitoring, or hosting providers change.
Error monitoring
The current release uses local error boundaries and privacy-conscious structured logging. If an external error-monitoring service is enabled later, it must be configured not to transmit puzzle contents, local-storage contents, or unnecessary personal data, and this policy must be updated.
Children's privacy
Wordflow can be used by families and in classrooms, but it is not designed to collect personal information from children. Children should not include names, contact details, or other personal information in feedback without the involvement of a parent, guardian, or teacher.
Changes
This policy may be updated when Wordflow changes how it operates. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are made.
